FAQ

Who can submit a story?

Anyone. If you or someone you know has done something to resist democratic backsliding in the United States, we want to hear about it.

Do stories get checked before they go live?

Yes. Every submission goes into a moderation queue and is reviewed before it appears publicly. Only approved stories are ever shown on the site.

Can I stay anonymous?

Yes. The submission form has a 'post anonymously' option. If you choose it, your name is never shown or stored with your story's public entry.

Why is my state not on the map yet?

A state only appears as clickable once it has at least one approved story. Submit one for your state to help change that.

What kind of stories are you looking for?

Anything hopeful and true: organizing, voting rights work, local journalism, civic education, legal challenges, or everyday acts of courage that push back against autocratization.
